This workshop is for novice users and assumes no prior use of SPD for creation of workflows. Topics to be covered include:

- The Initiation form that is associated with manually run workflows.
- Conditions and actions, with examples.
- On creation of a document, make the workflow email the approver.
- Configure an email in the workflow.
- Add an action to wait for “Checked out to” to be empty.
- Build a dynamic string for the email subject.
- How to NOT create an endless loop.
- Run a custom workflow.
- Log history in the workflow after each step
- Workflow settings in the doc library settings.
- Hidden Workflow History list.
- Create a condition to look at the department field and do something different for each department.
