starting multiple workflows manually from a single doc library

  1. I have created 4 workflows using sharepoint designer.

On each workflow I ticked the box to Allow to start manually.

However when I select the workflow option from an item in the doc library I can only see 2 of the workflows to start them.

Could anyone tell me why only 2 of the 4 are displayed?

    Thanks,

    Pete

    Hi,
I think it is about your conditions .If you give some more information we can solve the problem. But with this information I can say that you can add an extra action at the top of step 1 (it can be different name). There must be no condition and your action must be that :start this workflow.
    good luck

And another thing: if items status are displayed as 'COMPLETED' and if in your workflows if you add an action :'terminate this workflow' at the end of workflows, you can not display them. Please check them..

  4. Hi Cidgem,

    Thanks for your posts.

I had a look at my workflows and don't have any actions to terminate the workflow at any point.

I'm not quite sure how I would add the ":start this workflow" action. If I'm using sharepoint designer to build the workflow it is not an option in the available actions.

Do I need to edit the workflow as XML? If so where should I put the code?

    Thanks,

    Pete

  5. Just as a bit of background about the workflows.

They are really simple and just compare a "Doc Title" field and then depending on that they email a group of people that need to know about that document.
