  1. We are developing a WCM site in sharepoint 2007. what i need is streaming of videos to be plyed in browser itself. i dont want to use silverlight. my video file like .wmp,.avi etc are saved on the server in a folder. i want to create a UI which can show the videos links as a stream and can be played in browser. Please suggest the way to do it. and also the required link to refer. Any help will be highly appreciated.

  2. Here's a method on how to display flash files using the CEWP:

Not sure, but maybe this same method will work with other streaming media types. You just have to remember that all of the users viewing the page will have to have the appropriate media-playing software on their workstations, to be able to view the file.

Or, if you don't mind the shameless advertising, which we must all involve ourselves in from time to time, you can just upload the videos to YouTube and steal their embed code to stream the video from the page.

  5. You upload the vidoes you want to display to youtube and let youtube do the file processing. You then grab the embed code and plug that into the source editor of a content editor web part to display the video.
