I have a regular SharePoint blog site and closed or somehow hid the Admin Links web part on the main page. I was not in edit page mode and did not delete it (at least I didn't select "delete"). How can I get it back?

add this to your url and see if there are any web parts that might be interfering with your display that you can delete. &Contents=1 Posted 2 days ago #

I added that to the end of the url of the blog page (http://..../iblog/default.aspx&contents=1) and I got a HTTP 400 Bad Request error page. Posted 2 days ago #

Great, it worked. The Admin Links web part is listed and it says it's not open on the page. There is not an "open" option, so do I "reset" it?... tried that and nothing happened. Did a little reading and it appears that I need to have access to the web parts gallery, which it doesn't look like I do. Is there any other way? Posted 2 days ago #

For the record, problem is solved. I didn't look under "Advanced Web Part Gallery..." when I tried to find the Admin Links web part to re-add it. That's where it was, under the "closed" grouping. Posted 2 days ago #

If you don't want that to happen again, see if under the advanced settings for the web part, you can turn off the check for "Allow close". Posted 1 day ago #
