Stump the Panel: SharePoint Q&A Forum Now Live

StumpThePanelIt’s been about a month coming, but Stump the Panel has been upgraded and is now ready for business. I had so many offers of help after the server meltdown, it was unbelievable. I honestly hadn’t realized how deep the community around Stump the Panel was.

For those who haven’t used STP before, it is a frequently moderated forum for you to ask your SharePoint questions. It is moderated by volunteers in the SharePoint Community, giving their time to help novice and intermediate SharePoint users, site managers and site collection managers.

The content from the previous incarnation of Stump the Panel isn’t integrated into the new forum, but don’t panic. I realize there is a lot of information and solutions available in there. I’m trying to figure out a way to integrate the old forum into the new. If all else fails, I’ll put up an archive of the old forum, lock it down and make it read only.

In the meantime, have at it. Here is the list of forums and the people who have volunteered to moderate them. We really appreciate it when you jump in to help answer questions. I’m always on the look out for people to promote to moderator status.

  1. Mark, I’m still up for moderating Workflow, Non-Geeks, and Global. I’ve missed the STP, too. I love the interaction and being able to help others resolve their issues.

    Blessings,
    Jim Bob

    Hi Mark

Glad to see this up and running.

I have added in some posts – a few hours ago.

They are still not showing up in the forum. I know they need to be approved first. Do responses to posts also go through the same process?

It seems to be taking a long time to get a post on the forum.

    Iain

  3. Jim Bob, you’re set as a global moderator. Thanks. — Mark

    Mark,

Is there a link back to “Home” on STP? When I click on the EUSP logo, I stay in STP.

  7. There isn’t. Let me work on that one. Thanks. — Mark

  8. Mark Rackley says:

I’m happy to help with STP… looks like you have everything covered though…

  9. Mark R – Would definitely appreciate your help. The questions haven’t even started coming in yet. When you register, I’ll promote you to global moderator and you can dig in. Thanks. — Mark

Mark, I signed up as eric. Can you elevate my privies?

  11. IdoSP says:

Is there an RSS feed for either “unread posts” or “new posts”? I used to monitor the STP entries via a iGoogle RSS widget. I looked for any kind of RSS feed information in STP and couldn’t find one. Is this something that could be added when you get the chance?

[Sure am glad this is back ...it was missed.]
