Free Screencast: Trouble Shooting a jQuery Script

Paul Grenier, Toni Frankola and I were exchanging emails about one of Paul’s jQuery solutions. Toni was having some issues with a specific functionality. I challenged Paul to turn on his Camtasia recorder and troubleshoot on the fly.

Not only did he turn it on and record it, he sent it to me to publish on the site! So here it is, a 28 minute, live without a net, troubleshooting session of a jQuery script. For those of you who have been following Paul’s jQuery for Everyone series, this should be a real treat. Let him know what you think by leaving a comment below.

Seeing your process was very helpful. Could you tell us what the editing tool was that you used in addition to Firebug? Thanks

  2. Joyce,

Are you coming to Boston this Saturday? Paul and I are going to be talking about how to setup a jQuery environment in SharePoint, and he’s going to cover all the tools and processes.

    Should be fun.

Boston on Saturday? – don’t I wish! You’d have to come to Sacramento for there being any chance of my seeing any of you in person. Maybe you’ll be able to package the presentation as as webcast someday. Thanks.

I’m a jQuery novice and only superficially familiar with Firebug. Seeing your development process was VERY helpful. Thanks for sharing.
