Things are starting to come together with the support of RackSpace and fpWeb.net. I spent the day yesterday, and until 2:00am this morning, getting the new MySQL database setup, installing WordPress, tweeking the new theme and moving media content into my Amazon S3 account. I’m working with Natasha (@TeamEUSP) to start the process of verifying all of the old content and building the new categorization system that will help with filtering and search.
I’ve had tons of offers of help and that is very much appreciated. Natasha and I are plugging away and will let you know if there’s anything that can be done. The planned first iteration rollout will be, Monday, December 7. This will be a fully functioning site as far as content goes, but not all the bells and whistles until I get this thing tested under a load.
It’s amazing how much a simple blog has affected so many people. Thank you for your support and encouragement. This down time has given me a chance to reflect on what my role is in the SharePoint Community. I’ll have much more to say on this over the next few weeks, but right now, I’ve got to get back to work and get the infrastructure built out.
Regards,
Mark
