The out of the box available User Tasks Web Part allows you to show tasks assigned to the current user. This Web Part is a great building block for end users since it doesn’t require any configuration whatsoever.

Waldek Mastykarz has graciously provided the Quote of the Day Web Part with a much needed make over. Instead of managing the quotes from within the web part itself, the quotes can now be managed from a list!

This is the second part of a two part series on how to create a Quote of the Day web part in SharePoint whose quotes are drawn from a SharePoint list. The first article created the foundation for accessing the list. In this section, randomizing the quotes are considered.

Waldek has been playing around with some pretty cool interface stuff. The last article he wrote for EndUserSharePoint.com showed a way to highlight characters on a page as the user was typing. He’s come up with another interface trick and we’re looking for ideas on how it might be used.
