Open SharePoint with IE and login as different user (SP System). Then connect with SPD. There is a change your OS stored your passwords. Check stored usernames and passwords in your Control Panel (Users > Stored usernames and passwords if you are using Vista)</p>
<p>However I think this will not solve your problem. Follow the article and install the updates to fix the problem.

While I have several accounts at my disposal, including our SP System Account, I cannot change the windows login process. I wish to have SPD connect to the SharePoint site as the System Account (so that workflows will be saved under that account, rather than my user account), but it seems determined to connect using my local account. Is there a way to get SPD to connect to a SP Site using credentials other than my windows logon?</p>
