In the library's advanced settings, choose Yes to "allow management of content types"
2. back to the library's settings page, now you'll see the content types section. Click "Add from existing content types".
3. Add "Link to a Document", and click OK

Now, when you go to your doc library and click the "new" drop-down box, you'll have a new option to create a link to a document.

Laura Rogers
http://spinsiders.com/laurar
Pelica on "Document Library ShortCut" http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/topic/document-library-shortcut#post-4464 Fri, 20 Feb 2009 18:26:54 +0000 Pelica 4464@http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/
Perhaps put a link in the Quick Navigation area on that page.
DS1 on "Document Library ShortCut" http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/topic/document-library-shortcut#post-4462 Fri, 20 Feb 2009 18:06:01 +0000 DS1 4462@http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/
How do you crreate a shortcut from one document library within another document library
