“Essential SharePoint 2010: Overview, Governance and Planning” is a much needed conversation from the business perspective of how talk about governance and planning when speaking about SharePoint in your company.

I had the pleasure of presenting a live online session tonight from the speaker dinner at Best Practices Conference, Washington DC. We were able to round up many of the speakers to give brief presentations, talking about their current projects and what they are working on.

This is a short three minute burst, but should get you thinking about how communities start. As Derek says in the video, I was a lone nut until I got my first follower.

As I continue to talk with companies to see how they utilize SharePoint, I find there isn’t anything I can point to on how SharePoint is being used by other companies. This knowledge will be very useful for anyone developing stories and scenarios around actual use cases.

I spent a half hour with Jeremy Epstein today, talking about building and cultivating an online community. Jeremy and I met last week at WPC and hit it off right away. We turned on the recorder so you can here the give-and-take between us as we discuss community development.
