Stump the Panel: SharePoint Q&A

Hi,
I'm creating a survey using the survey list, and I'm not sure how to go about something.

I have a question where the user can select from several options. I would like to have a text box next to each choice option, where the user can enter comments about why they selected this option.

Is something like this possible?

The survey capabilities are very limited in SharePoint. You could probably fake a solution by using a check box for each individual question, then follow each question with a single line text field. There would be no relationship between the checkbox and the text field, but at least you'd get close to the format you are looking for.

Now that I think of it, forget about it. The SharePoint survey mechanism isn't built to handle this. You'd be using a hammer to screw in a nail. Time for InfoPath or Survey Monkey?

Ya, I had a feeling this was the case.
So I suggested that we reword the question and split it up into several questions with each have their own space to fill in.
