Stump the Panel: SharePoint Q&A

First question is - is the ebook specific to 2010 or 2007? In the intro it mentions the time spent was summer of 2010, but that doesn't mean it's specific to SharePoint 2010 or MOSS.

Secondly - before I purchase the ebook, I'm wondering if it will help me compare DVWP and Form Actions and workflow items with doing similar actions in InfoPath. I didn't see InfoPath mentioned in the content outline, so am wondering if it's mentioned or compared to at all in the book.

Side note: if anyone has any pearls of wisdom on comparing the two and wants to add it here, be my guest!

The DVWP's XSLT is still the same from 2007 to 2010. All of JB's hard work will help you out for either version of SharePoint.

As far as InfoPath goes, I'll let JB answer that question.

No, I do not compare Infopath with the DVWP in the eBook. I have not had the pleasure of working with Infopath, but I've been told that:

a. Most of what you can do with Infopath, you can also do with the DVWP... and then some.
b. The things Infopath does well are much easier to do there, but the DVWP gives you extra abilities that go beyond what Infopath can do.

Someone with actual knowledge of both, please correct me if I'm wrong.
