Stump the Panel: SharePoint Q&A

Hi all,

I am trying to create a Custom Listform and unfortunately by default it won't support "Attachments" enabled.

i know if i want to hide some fields i can go for Content types, but it is different in my case.

I have seen a Microsoft Support Article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953271a work around for it.

Once by mistake when creating Custom list form i have deleted the default webpart and it crashed entire list for me.

But in the microsoft support as i described, they say we have to Close the default webpart for enabling attachments on the form successfully.

My Question is: Will it won't effect the List if we close the default webpart in the custom list form???

Plz give me some info on this

Adding attachments was fixed for custom list forms on Service Pack 2... Someone correct me if I'm mistaken.

What version level are you currently running?

What I do for custom list forms on existing Disp/Edit forms is to set the IsVisible and IsIncluded flags in the default web part to false.
