I have an interesting requirement to summarize data in a list and can't quite get there on my own. Here's the scenario: we have a single SharePoint list (WSS3.0) that tracks the construction projects we are bidding on. A project bid can have one of four statuses: Active, Waiting for Award Decision, Awarded, Not Awarded. The bid manager wants what he calls a hit/miss ratio which will show the number of Awarded bids divided by the number of total completed bids: Awarded / (Awarded + Not Awarded).

I have created a webpart page that shows various other KPI's for this group, but this one has me stumped. How do I get SharePoint to calculate a value that requires the total on a column as an operand?

Thanks so much for any advice...

Hi:
I needed the same thing and Alexander Bautz came through with flying colors! Works perfectly.
