Wondering if anyone has seen an issue similar to this before.

We have a list setup with standard settings.

When the users with read access click on an item to open it, they receive an access denied.
They can view items in the list, just not open them.

We have had other issues with document libraries in the same site as the list, so it could be some other underlying issue.

Thanks.

How are the Item level permissions set in the Advanced Settings menu of the list?
